Different than thought

Actually, my first post to this much appreciated forum always wanted to be one of these posts that spread joy and enthusiasm for this wonderful watch brand.

Today, it came different from what I imagined my beginning would be like. After having studied also this forum for quite some while, I decided last summer that it was time for my first Chopard. Yet this Tuesday after work, exactly this same Chopard watch had to be brought back to the boutique where it was receipt a couple of weeks ago.

The unpleasant reason was that the chronograph function was not working properly anymore. In fact, sometimes the minutes hand would jump to an intermediate position between two markers and sometimes it wouldn't jump at all, no matter how many times the seconds hand would cross the 12’o’clock position.

If any of you have some valuable experiences with such a similar glitch, I am all yours listening…

Anyway, luckily enough, I had decided for the Chopard boutique as my sales point, and now this direct line to the manufacturer can be benchmarked. Also without a chronograph on my wrist, time is running and at least i got a good feeling how my concern was recorded.

I read some good things and some not so good things about customer service. Certainly, I will share my personal experiences once I have my already missed watch back.

Those of you that are now interested in what model I am talking about, I only want to say that it is one of the latest chronograph calibers made by Fleurier Ebauches and put into the Superfast edition.

Let it be my duty to unveil more details by future contributions to this community, writing exactly one of these posts how I originally imagined my first appearance on this stage would feel like; full of enthusiasm for quality, joy for detail and proud of uniqueness…

As relatively complex mechanical pieces, it is not out of the ordinary to experience issues at some point. It is the resolution of those that is of primary importance and it is good to know that you have had a positive service experience with Chopard. My ...
