And immediately below is the new 01.08 -C of the Mille Miglia:
We can definitely see the similarities. One obvious difference is that the 01.01.-L is marked "L.U.C", while the 01.08-C is not. We know that the former begins life in the FLeurier Ebauches facility and is hand finished in the Chopard Manufacture. We can speculate that the latter is created and finished entirely within the Fleurier Ebauches facility. (No doubt, the price of entry for the in-house movement of the Mille Miglia line will be far less than that of the 1937 line.) Having recently toured the new facility, it is no surprise to me that Chopard can produce such a beautiful movement there. The facility is state of the art, and designed for more capacity than it currently handles.
