They're the same model technically but are a world of difference (hands, hour indices, dial), and both come with jaw-droppingly good looking and colour matching straps. In all honesty (albeit also very personal) I would say the 5124x2 combo beats the 5124...
Salmon for me

Not only do I like it the best, the blue dial also reminds me too much of the Reverso tribute small seconds (ref Q3978480). Nothing wrong with that design, but it belongs better with JLC in my opinion. ...

I prefer the salmon, though I’m sure either will be a great addition and will make you very happy!

More elegant. Salmon looks old, numerals cheap.

Why? While I DO like the shade of the blue dial, it's difficult to see in various lighting situations. The salmon is VERY easy to read in all but very dark situations. Plus, the Breguet numerals in black with the matching dial and strap are just delicious...

It’s a beautiful color. Have your AD order you a chocolate brown strap (104 is the strap code) and it looks amazing! I’m not a fan of the honey strap that comes on it.

The modern blue dial! Decided. It is on the way! I was contemplating between these 2 very dials. Thank you contributors for weighing-in to help me with my choice in 2021! Prefer both the rose (salmon) and the blue to the 5214J in yellow gold. This model w...

This model is very interesting. I can’t answer the original question as I have not seen it in person, but I would go with the salmon probably as I need diversity in my collection and blue is everywhere

Lovely. I may have missed it in the threads- is this the one with the Geneva Seal or the PP one?
