Stopped by the boutique and took a couple more Skeletec Photos

Feb 15, 2015,11:08 AM

I made a visit to the boutique yesterday and found a Skeletec to look at in the metal after seeing your post, Blomman. I enjoyed it even more in the metal.  Seeing the light shine through the dial side of the movement added a new perspective that I enjoyed, and it has a nice wrist presence as well.  Thanks again for bringing this one to our attention.

Best,

CaliforniaJed

blomman, Thank you for coming back in style! The current Mrs MTF likes skeletonised movements but we have never seen this Chopard Skeletec watch. I'm intrigued by the choice of limited edition number set at 288. The two 'golden' orbs at position 2 and 10,...

I've wanted to see the Skeletec in the metal since Mkt33's post a couple of years ago: amp;fi=5&pi=5825668&ti=857263&msid=&s= The circular motif in the Cal. 96.17-S is interesting and not one I have noticed in other examples of skeletal mo...

Not convinced by this one.

I find that the skeletonized area is visually too limited by the solid peripheral ring. It is not very convincing IMHO. Thanks Blomman! Fx

I see your point

For a skeleton it is a limited area that is open. Nothing that really bothered me when I tried it... Now that you mention it... One thing that I find positive with the solid area is that it makes it easier to read time. Best Blomman
