The Flyback L.U.C ChronoOne Stainless Steel

 By: Kong : July 3rd, 2009-05:30
Viewed the ChronoOne Stainless Steel , the Flyback Chronograph at the Boutique yesterday. First impression ... The dial is straight-forward legible and good contrast. Truly understated. Have a wish at that moment, hoping the dial is enamel. The look is ri...

Saw it in the flesh some days ago,

And have to admit that I was positively impressed by the overall quality of this Chrono. Aesthetically speaking, it is a very elegant one. Mechanically, it is very appealing, too. And the in vivo feel is impressive: The feel of the pushers, the weight, th...

Wow

A knock out! Love it. Thanks for the great pictures.

i had a Mille Miglia about 10 years ago & i cant believe how much better they are

 By: G99 : July 4th, 2009-12:13
i only owned it for about 6 months and sold it as i wasnt overly impressed. it was a pre chronometer model which shows its age. looking at Chopard now they seem to be in a different league entirely. the finish is just excellent. if i didnt already own a f...

This is a totally different beast from the Mille Miglia :-)

Hi Graham Check it out if you see one. Kong

Different class ChronoOne

 By: MTF : July 5th, 2009-10:17
Graham, The LUC range is a different class from the Mille MIglia, although the MM range has moved upmarket. The original class difference is like Ford vs Aston Martin when both were owned by the same corporation. Recently, MM has started moving upmarket u...

Your pics are breathtaking! My husband and I are watch enthusiasts and he gave me a Chanel J12 last year for my birthday. I plan to reciprocate this year and hopefully get him something as beautiful as this Chopard Flyback.

Welcome Cblogaholic!

 By: Kong : July 9th, 2009-23:32
Congrats on the near indestructible J12 Did he give you the piece with a 3125 movement inside This piece is really a super piece, I'm pretty sure your hubby would be pleased if he loves chronograph. Top notch at honest pricing. Check it out, this piece is...

Thanks, Kong!

This is a very attractive watch! I actually prefer it over its precious metal counterpart with the open dials. It's interesting to me that Chopard has chosen to make this watch a limited run of 500, as opposed to a regular production model. I am increasin...

500 for steel case is ...

 By: Kong : July 10th, 2009-07:27
a smart move. If you are nearby to the ADs or boutique, please go in and have a look at the ChronoOne .in steel and gold case. Have a quick peek at the price...you will realise what I'm saying. Typically the amount of work to build a steel and precious me...

Singapore

Kong, Was it now the Steel version we saw in the Chopard Boutique? Or the WG version? You know , I am getting seriously interested now in this piece. I should never have come to Singapore. Wim

This is the steel piece which arrived after the event :-)

Hi Wim This piece will be a good pair for your beautiful Minerva Kong

I definitely like the Tech over the Classic

 By: dxboon : July 11th, 2009-16:48
Hi Kong, IMO the dial on the Tech Regulator is much more interesting than that of the classic version. I like the skeletonized hands, the day/night indicator, and power reserve on the Tech so much more. This is not the first Chopard model I've felt this w...

Thanks Daos for the inputs....'Interesting' is the same keyword ...

 By: Kong : July 11th, 2009-21:11
I heard from a group of female friends and when probed further, their inputs were similar to yours! It seems like the Tech series has affinity with the Ladies, and probably L.U.C may need to think of a unique case-shape. Kong

That is one very nice Chronograph. [nt]

First class craftmanship....

 By: BHK9 : July 10th, 2009-08:55
Hi Folks, Can see from the back case, indeed they have put in alot of effort in up lifting the standard of craftmanship in it but true still remain as their are orginally from other background of aritsan. Keep it up,Chopard. BHK9

I would say....................

 By: VMM : July 11th, 2009-02:04
Impressive movement but it looks to me like a Datograph (silver subdials, blue dial, square pushers, that crown and the general look) so, nothing new and that deployants, when are they going to change them or improve them? Many problems, they open so easi...

Thanks Vte for the comments....deployant is secondary...

 By: Kong : July 11th, 2009-10:24
The 11 CF movement is a class of its own. Removing all the perception and placed it side by side the Dato, the 11CF ChronoOne is a Challenger. Just my observation. Kong

Of course!

 By: VMM : July 11th, 2009-11:02
About the deployant I agree that it's totally secondary but I've taken the opportunity to "complaint" because it's a new release, and can't understand why they don't fix it. Believe me it does not work properly. About hte movement as I said, just flawless...

Thanks Vte, get you...

 By: Kong : July 11th, 2009-21:02
You are not the only one having issue with the deployant. Kong

Frankly as I posted before, I prefer Chrono one to Dato

 By: happyguy1688 : July 11th, 2009-22:30
and that feeling is further enhanced / confirmed at the recent Chopard event in Hong kong. If Chopard can make me a customs dial and hands, I'll definitely take the plunge.

Interesting!

 By: amanico : July 11th, 2009-22:49
Can you elaborate? I feel we'll have a superb discussion! Seriously, the movement in the Chopard is nice ( and very nice, should I say! ), but far from the level of the Dato, ad it is an automatic one, not a manual, which aesthetically, is maybe less inte...

What I prefer is the feel of chrono operation, a big advantage

 By: happyguy1688 : July 13th, 2009-10:36
is non-jumping chrono hand (of course all vertical clutch chrono have such advantage) and the feel and response of all the pushers are just silky smooth. Of course aesthetically, the Lange movement and dial of the 1815 chrono are more attractive to me but...

That's one sexy watch

 By: ianny : July 17th, 2009-10:33
Thanks for the report Kong. I got to see this in the flesh. Whereabouts can I find one?

Ian, you can have a look at the boutique at the moment...
