My memories of Austin do not include Chopard watches

Hey Jed,

I did not know you are an alumni of the University of Austin.

My memories of Austin TX are from 20 years ago when I visited my US HQ as a provincial hick from the UK subsidiary.

My boss was called "Bubba" and I went out with his family to an all-you-can-eat BBQ joint call County Line. I hear it is now a multi-location chain. Bubba and his elder daughter refused the vegetables and accompaniments to make more room for the meat. Their only exception was a small berry cobbler as dessert!

I was amazed at the amount of meat the teenaged girls could eat especially when they were active models for Seventeen magazine!

My only other 'affiliation' to Austin is that my favourite computer games were made by an Austin-based company. "Die! Monkey Boy" was the battle cry of my Kilrathi virtual opponents......

Regards,
MTF
