L.U.C XPS New Models - (perhaps) World's Fastest Live Photos!
By: KIH : September 9th, 2017-17:27
As I just have been to the factories and they let me take photos (with embargo then), although I am still preparing the report, let me share with you the live photos of the new L.U.C XPS series. Just superb. Platinum Model: (yeah, yeah, yeah, if the date ...
The date on this one isn't too bad for two reasons...

1. The applied markers remain the same size all around. 2. It is at the '3' position and doesn't interrupt the sub-second hand. Love the thinness. Great photos...thank you once again. m
Great model!

The white gold model with no date is an ABSOLUTELY KILLER!cant wait to see it in stores

Thanks for the great photos!! Lovely pieces, for sure. Though for me, the original LUC 1860 with the caliber 1.96 is still the best LUC watch ever. I have never seen Geneva Seal stamped on a watch case - I thought it was stamped only on movements (such as...
Hmmmm
By: gary01 : September 9th, 2017-21:29
That's strange - don't like the case stamp unless it has a meaning with respect to the case itself. Geneva Seal and COSC, while both historic, appear to have increasingly less significance - the METAS Certification and Fleurier Cert seem to have more weig...
Interesting

Thanks for the reply and the interesting info. Since the seal has relevance to the case itself as makes sense to appear in case. Do you know of any other manufacturer that shows the Geneva seal on the case? Best Regards, Gary
Very informative

Great to know ... and that white gold model is stunning!
Ahhh ...
By: jim vancouver : September 9th, 2017-21:30
.... Though the platinum version has no numerals at all.
LOL!

But I agree!
Thanks for sharing these!

All three are very nice. The only comment I have is that I found the dauphine hands on the first generation XPS a tad more elegant than the dauphine fusee ones here. Sure, the latter are a Chopard LUC hallmark but appear a tad sportier to me in this insta...
You can never...

Have too many Dauphine hands!!! 😜 Seriously, the Chopard 'fusion' hands are cool. But for sheer elegance I will pick Dauphine hands any day, hands down (groan...). Best E.
I hear you...

And it would not be a killer criterium for me

Thanks, Ken!

I like...thought there was also a steel version??? For perfection - in my eyes - the '12' would be replaced by a double set of indexes. And the seconds hand would be a bit larger, so that the index at 6 is made smaller - just changing the proportions of t...
What are the sizes?
By: jgbbxl : September 10th, 2017-05:21
Hello, thank you for the nice pictures! Can you give some more information about sizes? I've got a thin wrist and I'm in the market for a classic dress watch between 35 and 37mm maximum.
The Spec says....
By: KIH : September 10th, 2017-05:54
SIze: 40mm Thickness: 7.20mm My wrist is small, too (16.5mm), but it didn't look too big.... Hope this helps! Ken

Modern Versions
By: gary01 : September 10th, 2017-17:47
For me, each new piece stands as its own creation. either it speaks to you or it doesn't. Some people might be disturbed by a particular departure from vintage designs, others not. To my view, a 40mm case is too large for this watch and movement. The date...
Thankful for your reports fast like a rocket
By: kolosstt : September 12th, 2017-12:49
The WG for me please. Actually date at 6 is more harmonic to me. That's why PT is not for me. Are we sure that both movements have the same finishing no matter of Geneva seal or not? Would be interested if the actual finishing work is different or just th...
