A valid critique, Fx. Personally, I have come to like the date window.

I must admit on many dials, Chopard included, I dislike the presence (or the particular placement) of a date window for aesthetic reasons.  Nonetheless, I find the date complication quite useful, notwithstanding the smart phone that virtually always sits in my right front pocket!

On the 16/1860, its presence at 6:00, in lieu of an hour marker, does not bother the symmetry of this dial.  It does interrupt the sub-seconds dial, but in a way I am willing to excuse, particularly in light of the elegance of the guilloche, the markers and the hands.

In any event, I always have the Tech QF if I need an L.U.C without a date (and soon the 1963 Chronograph PuristS Edition)!

Best,

I have to confess that I would have preferred it without the date window... but it has a superb dial! Fx
