Detective Won Hung Low was on the trail like a truffle pig rutting in the forest.

There was certainly truffles in the thickening sauce but was that just a red herring?

He could identify the grey dial LUC 1937 chronometer, LUC Tech Regulator and LUC Chrono One on the bottom row but the two watches on the top row were unfamiliar to him.

On his measly detective's pay, there was little chance of familiarity with such 'haute horlogerie' - a phrase he had gleaned on the "Interweb" using his trusty Samsung Galaxy Note 3 thingy.

Meanwhile, the coroner had posted a preliminary cause of death: asphyxiation from a combination of neurotoxin and airway obstruction with a foreign object...namely, the previously mentioned steak knife in the throat.

Curious-er and curious-er.........the plot thickens but was not gelling...........
