Live Pics of Chopard Mille Miglia 2014 Editions

This year 2014 Edition, the design has gone back to the roots with a vintage design and hint of Italian origin.  Two versions are created, both limited in production - 2014 pieces (representing the year of race)  in steel and 250 pieces in Rose Gold.

Starting with the steel edition ...

Case diameter is 42mm by 12.3mm thick with matching brown Barenia calfskin.

The dial design has the Italy flag colour theme - Red, green and white.

The main dial is actually cremy in colour.

Both minute and hour baton-hands are metalised black and coated with matching SuperLuminova colour as the dial.
The sweeping chronograph-second-hand is signature Red, the colour of Mille Miglia.

Tachymeter rehaut ring is separate layer from the main dial.

Superb clear sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating.

3 sub-dials for 30-minute-counter at 9H, 12-hour-totaliser at 6H and small-second at 3H.

Date window between 4 & 5 H.

Signed crown with the Mille Miglia logo with the chronograph pushers.

Transparent caseback  with painted red Mille Miglia logo and the serial number, giving a clear view of the decorated COSC certified ETA 2894-2, beating at 4Hz with a power reserve of 42 hours.

Case is water resistance rated to 50m.

Another version, 18K Rose Gold version in limited production of 250 pieces for those who like an added touch of luxury for this beautiful vintage design Mille Miglia edition.

Containing the same ETA 2894-2  as the steel version with 18K rose gold case back, pushers and signed crown.

A wristshot on a friend's wrist.

Steel and Rose Gold of the Chopard 2014 Mille Miglia Editions.

Both versions look equally charming to me, just depending what budget you would like to spend.

Which do you prefer?

I'm a big sucker for the numerals on this watch.

And the rest of the watch too! Quite attractive. Thanks Kong!

Kong, are the Arabic numerals also luminous? (I like them, too!)

The use of red on the dial is nice, as well. I was surprised that this one is not on a tire tread strap. Best, CaliforniaJed

From memory ...

the numerals didn't have lume. Will get back to you after confirming. Initial pieces were leather straps, the iconic tire tread strap was introduced much later. Some pictures of the earlier models : Thanks for viewing, Jed. Kong

The numerals are luminous, if I recall correctly ...

... and I love this return to the earlier, 2894-equipped Mille Miglias! Marcus

You are right!

Just got ...

an answer... the Arabic numerals are coated with Super-Luminova C3 which has a longer 'glow' duration. Kong

Didn't know that ...

The dial and case are very nicely done up. If only it is < 42mm, like 39mm or 40mm? Thanks for sharing Kong. These LE Mille Miglia are very attractive indeed both in looks and exclusivity. Cheers robin

Get you ...

For some reason, these Chopard Mille Miglia 2014 watches remind me of a more contemporary and sporty Roger Dubuis Hommage. Very nice job by Chopard! Cheers, Anthony
