Double Chopard Weekend

Sep 21, 2014,10:28 AM

It was a bright Sunday in sunny North Wales today and the birds were twittering as we pulled into the pub.

Roast beef, pork loin and lamb with Yorkshire pudding and roasted potatoes; washed down with Revisionist Ale...yum!
The weekend lunch was made even more enjoyable by the "dessert" of Double Chopard Delight.
Both His and Hers watches are from the Chopard Mille Miglia Collection but they are special editions.

Chopard Mille Miglia GT XL Racing in Pink in steel case and Vintage Chronograph in rose gold case and slate grey dial.

The Chopard Vintage Chronograph was the last manual chronograph they produced with a external-sourced NOS (new old stock) Lemania 1874 movement.

In 2014, Chopard launched their own manual chronograph movement for the LUC 1963 Chronograph, including the 50 movements of the unique and exclusive PuristS caliber L.U.C 03.07-L1 that have been homologated and approved for the Geneva Seal (Poinçon de Genève). More about those next month...

Chopard Mille Miglia GT XL 'Racing in Pink' for ladies is the same 41mm diameter as the mens' regular GT XL with black dials.

After much discussion and deliberation, this model was launched; as it turns out, to unnecessary trepidation.
It was a striking success with the ladies and more than one man has been spotted with one! wink

This one is quickly becoming a 'go to' watch for casual weekend wear. It can run the full spectrum, from suit during the week to jeans on the weekend. I would love to find a way to fit a 'funkier' strap to it -- maybe a distressed cordovan with no stitchi...
