"Best" Chopard QF watch choice
Jan 06, 2015,02:43 AM
Anthony,
Thanks to Mr KFS for sparing time in his tight schedule hours before the official press conference and celebrations.
Luckily, I could play my PuristS' secret card to find time He also hand-delivered my shiny new PuristS Chronograph. CLICK following URL link to read:
I completely agree that a L.U.Chopard QF (Fondation Qualite Fleurier) watch is the current ultimate standard in Swiss watchmaking.
Only three brands even attempt it; Chopard and Parmigiani are the only ones with series production of QF certified watches.
Chopard has had the most QF certificates but as mentioned in the interview, only a small number of global clients will get to see one, let alone own one.
There were 7 models made in limited production batches between 25 and 100 pieces. Two of those models were tourbillons.
The ultimate Chopard QF watch must be the Triple Certified Tourbillon with COSC, Geneva Seal and QF.
Actually, one model is Quadrupled Certified unofficially because it has the 'Fairmined' gold mark. That would be my choice of 'Best' Chopard watch today.

For pure simplicity, the 'basic' (and I use the word ironically) QF Chronometer may be more in the spirit of PuristS.
