True dimension of the Mille Miglia GT XL Casing
Several friends had asked (all by PMs) the actual dimension of the case for the MM GT XL series.
The latest is Matt310. Matt, welcome to our Chopard Forum.
The specification typically shows the following information in the Chopard catalogues and website.
Case
• Steel
• Total diameter: 44 mm
• Thickness: 14.25 mm
• Water-resistance: 100 metres
• Glare-proof sapphire crystal
• Screw-lock crown or Screw-down crown in steel ....8,00 mm
The question are :
1) if the total diameter is 44mm, does it include the crown?
Ans : No it does not include the crown.
And the crown dimension 8.00mm refers to the diameter. The thickness is about 5mm .
2) if not what is the total horizontal dimension?
Ans : From the above dimensions, the overall X-axis (horizontal dimension) will be 44 + 5=49mm.

The dimensions should apply to the following references though measurements were taken from 16/8457 (as the rest were currently sold out) :
