What we cannot say.......

Sometimes it is more important what we cannot say than what we do say!
On that metaphysical note, let me not say a bit more. 
Through the historic horology collection started by his father and his own additions, Mr Karl-Friedrich Scheufele discovered and admired Ferdinand Berthoud, today largely overshadowed by famous names with celebrity clients. Berthoud was a great master clockmaker and educationalist, being official naval chronometer supplier and author of an essential treatise on horology. Whereas his so-called peers kept their secrets to seduce socialite and royal courtier clients, Berthoud advanced teaching in horology.
The Chopard Berthoud Project was too exciting to keep under wraps. The teaser announcement had to be made before unscrupulous whistle blowers could blow their own ....well.....whistles.
Even now, we cannot say much more because as a bespoke offering, only the new owner can talk about their yet to be conceived watch. If it is not yet designed, there is nothing to say......what a delicious paradox.

Any News on Ferdinand Berthoud?
Last year we learnt about a new brand to be launched by Chopard called "Ferdinand Berthoud" and they released an interesting teaser as well We were told to expect more news by Spring/Summer of 2014, well the summer is well under way and entering the tail ...
Not yet, Salman.
Given Ferdinand Berthoud's importance to horology, I can imagine that the sky is the limit as to what Chopard could do with the brand, but we are still awaiting further detail. Best, CaliforniaJed
