Real Pics of Chopard 2012 Grand Prix de Monaco Historique Chronographs

Less than 24 hours, the bi-yearly race, the 8th Monaco Historic Grand Prix will begin. Chopard is the official timekeeper of the race for the six consecutive time since 2002.

Before the drivers from 20 different countries start their engine filling the air with excitement, castor oil and methanol, a quick look of the Chopard's 2012 Grand Prix Historique de Monaco Editions.

Two models are launched just like previous five races, one in matt Titanium case and another, in 500-piece limited numbered two-tone titanium and rose gold edition. Both case diameter is 42.40mm.
Powering both the
2012 Grand Prix Historique de Monaco should be the Valgranges A07.211, COSC Certified.
The caseback is engraved with the GPMH initials and printed with the Automobile Club de Monaco insignia. Perforated grey Barenia leather strap with either orange stitching or blue stitching (depending on model) are matched with a Titanium pin-buckle.

Both the colour schemes are attractive, and I like the dual-tone Ti/RG combo with the blue hands and stitching.

Which would you prefer?

I like the colors of the steel better, but there is just too much going on on that dial for me.... A

it may work if the grey band from 9H to 3H and the intermediate half-minute markers in the 12-hour totaliser are removed. What's your thought, A? Kong

Drop the subdials at 9 AND 12, extend the strips across and add a minute-totalizer hand under the sweep second (like lemania 5100) or make the 6 o'clock subdial a 2-hand one (like the new IWC chrono movement) a

Interesting angle ...

That may happen for the L.U.C range as it will be a new movement. From aesthetic, I can visualise it to be pleasant and less cluttered. Thanks A. Kong
