CHOPARD Mille Miglia GTS Power Control LIVE Photo CHOPARD announced a new Watch Collection on 9th March 2015, that will be seen later at Baselworld 2015. PuristSPro is pleased to bring you a LIVE PICTURE of the new CHOPARD Mille Miglia GTS Power Control w...

This is a HUGE day for Chopard!

The presence of the Fleurier Ebauches movement in the Mile Miglia truly brings this watch to a new and exciting level for me. And the movement looks quite beautiful. I now want to compare it to, for instance the movement in the 1937, to see what might be ...

Here is a shot of the L.U.C 01.01-L for comparison.

And immediately below is the new 01.08 -C of the Mille Miglia: We can definitely see the similarities. One obvious difference is that the 01.01.-L is marked "L.U.C", while the 01.08-C is not. We know that the former begins life in the FLeurier Ebauches fa...

Compare with 2013 version of Mille Miglia

 By: MTF : March 9th, 2015-23:09
The new 2015,CHOPARD Mille Miglia GTS seems derived from the 2013 model. Me LIKE the design motifs and can't wait for the 2015 MM GTS Chronograph despite the lack of a Chopard movement....yet 2013 Mille Miglia Race Edition watch 2015 Mille Miglia GTS Powe...

A Mille Miglia to enter the wish list ...

I love the Mille Miglia history but I was waiting to Chopard to release one that could "sing" to me. This one is very desirable with this in house movement. Cheers, Nilo

Best Chopard Mille Miglia watch for now....until....

Nilo, The Chopard Mille Miglia GTS Power Control watch is currently the "Top Mille Miglia watch" with in-house movement. It has a subtle 'minor complication' and it is fun to watch the "fuel tank". Chopard Mille Miglia GTS Chronograph movement is outsourc...

now the in house movement. Irresistible for MM collectors and car buffs alike. I am keen to see the chronograph. Congratulations to the whole Chopard team! Best to all, Tim

With the clues from the Mille Miglia GTS Power Control

timerider, Maybe you can imagine what the Mille Miglia GTS Chronograph would look like? There are strong visual cues shown in the 2013 Mille Miglia Race watch and the 2015 Mille Miglia GTS Power Contol watch. An evolution from the 2013 model seem logical....

Happy that it turned out like it turned out

All in all a wonderful new piece that we are seeing here. One of the first things I was searching for: Bezel with aluminium inlay. Looks good and sounds interesting. Maybe one step prior ceramic inlay? No - hardly this time Basel, for now that's it and th...

This a fantastic release!!!

Thank you MTF and Ken for sharing it with us! Could the Pro One line be brought back to life using these new cases and ebauches? Only time will tell, but it would be sweet having a dive watch with the design codes of this MM GTS. Chapeau, Chopard and keep...

Interesting thought about the Pro One, Alex.

 By: CaliforniaJed : March 10th, 2015-20:37
Because that was an LUC watch, I would be surprised to see it come back with this movement, but I could certainly see a dive watch (or other sport watches) spring to life with movements from the Fleurier Ebauches facility. Don\'t you think?

Absolutely, Jed

Nowadays, I do not think an L.U.C. dive watch would serve the image the brand is trying to convey of their offering in that segment. From my eyes in L.U.C. you have the classic horology with or without complications, and then you have the experimental bra...

Question of how to...

differ from the market? I mean any idea of a Chopard diver's watch is for me a question of being different than a crowded market. The LUC Pro One, especially Cadence LE, is a wonderful watch in my eyes. Readability of the dial is certainly a highlight, an...

I agree. There is an opportunity for Chopard to expand its use of these movements.

 By: CaliforniaJed : March 11th, 2015-20:57
Which is exactly why they built Fleurier Ebauches. I would love to see Chopard develop a robust, workhorse tool watch with this movement -- a case and dial that would compete with Rolex and Omega in fit and finish, with a Fleurier Ebauches movement. Best,...

Chopard Pro One re-mix?

 By: MTF : March 10th, 2015-21:00
Another blast-from-the-past request for a re-edition of the LUC Pro One Diver watch from the early 'noughties' (2002). The rubber strap had a 'waves' motif. Black or White dial variants of the LUC Pro One were offered. LUC 4.96 movement had a tungsten all...

Thanks for the trip down memory lane, MTF...

Dear Melvyn, Your quick recap on the short lived Pro One is appreciated. Now, the questions you raise are valid ones, and somehow related to one another. Here is my takeā€¦ If re-issued should it use a Ebauche Fleurier movement?? I believe so. Although I do...
