Yes, Men can be colorful... Why not?
Feb 27, 2015,10:56 AM
As a Man, who
has a growing number of 'Ladies' timepieces in his collection, I would most
certainly say that we can be colorful, wear 'playful' pieces, or wear diamonds
if we so choose to without fear of being ridiculed.
Some have
stated that a timepiece is one of the few pieces of jewelry that is socially
acceptable for a Man to wear and even then, many Men who wear diamonds are said
to be 'over compensating' ... I find these views to be ridiculous. It is
2015. Women and Men should be able to wear what they want - period.
I started off
owning one ladies timepiece and the number continues to grow, as I felt limited
by choices in many Men's collections.
I would say
that real men should wear what they want with pride and confidence....I see too
many people running to the forums asking if they can pull this off or pull
that off... Wristwatches are not gender specific.
I have actually
written to some of the major watchmakers with respect to their marketing and
have discussed this topic on other forums as well.

wheresmywatch, Thank you for bravely joining in. Maybe the culture in your region is more flamboyant. Other countries like Indonesia, Dubai and Thailand also have a culture where decorated and colourful watches are not uncommon. Could you show examples of...

Hello there, I have written a lot on the topic as I have a deep passion for horology and am also a collector of watches and clocks. In my post, I did not mean to say that I have 'non-gender' watches but I believe that wristwatches shouldn't be considered ...
