Insiders at CHOPARD say there is an uncanny and lucky superstition for film industry players on the Red Carpet especially at the Oscars (Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Awards). This was proven again at the 87th Academy Awards in Los Angeles, February 22nd, 2015. Anointed in Chopard jewels, Julianne Moore finally won the Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role, making her the 12th Academy Award nominee to win whilst wearing Chopard. Eddie Redmayne becomes the 4th Best Actor in a Leading Role to wear a Chopard watch when grabbing the statuette. Of course, the men have only recently discovered the excellent L.U.Chopard watches; they tend not to wear diamond necklaces and ear-rings!
Julianne Moore and Eddie Redmayne followed the glamorous and winning footsteps of Cate Blanchett, Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Lawrence, Colin Firth, Charlize Theron, Hilary Swank, Rachel Weisz, Helen Mirren, Marion Cotillard, Kate Winslet, Penélope Cruz, Mo’Nique and Michel Hazanavicius.
Chopard, the jeweller-watchmaker of the cinema world, has a decidedly golden touch; they even produce the Palme d'Or (Golden Palm) awards for the Cannes Film Festival.

French actress and Oscars nominee for Best Actress (Two Days, One Night), Marion Cotillard, selected a ring featuring a 6.23-carat yellow diamond highlighted by 0.93-carats of white diamonds set in platinum and 18k yellow gold from the High Jewellery Collection, and earrings featuring 13.41-carats of diamonds set in white gold, also from the High Jewellery Collection.
Ms Cotillard is already an owner of the golden statuette having won as Best Actress in 2008.
Ms Cotillard's dress was stunning from the front but it was the view from the back that garnered most plaudits' praise for the daring tight black band around her thighs....
